Join us at the home of Karen Leith for this month’s gathering of The Ohio Fair Trade Network. See some of the unique items that she has purchased for her home and learn how you can “fair trade your flat.”
Come to this great event and visit with vendors and causes involved with justice and peace. It is a fun time, and a wonderful afternoon.

Please support women’s fair trade artisan cooperatives in Guatemala at the Mercado Global trunk sale (20-40% off). Mercado Global was co-founded by Ruth DeGolia, who, as a Cleveland Heights-University Heights High School student, participated in IRTF’s first teen delegation to El Salvador in 1998. Her commitment to justice has continued these past 20 years. Mercado Global is now the largest exporter of fair trade handbags and crafts from Guatemala! Women are empowered not only with extra income, but in making financial decisions in their homes, organizing for potable water in their communities, keeping their children in school, participating in voting, and holding leadership positions in their communities. Thank you, Ruth, and Mercado Global!
Saint Basil will again be having their fair trade sale this year. In addition to a variety of vendors, there will be a raffle basket to benefit Christians in the Holy Land. This will be a great opportunity to do some fair trade Christmas shopping.
Stop by Saint Noel for the bi-annual fair trade sale. The event starts at 4:00 on Saturday for a few hours and then continues all Sunday morning ending at 1:00. We hope to see a lot of east side fair trade shoppers there.
