Fair Trade & Faith

Fair Trade and faith are broader than the teachings of any one faith or denomination.  It is better to start with a reflection of the spirituality of fair trade.  Spirituality is about joy, creativity, the dignity of the person, good stewardship of the environment, justice, sustainability, about being one global family with a deep sense of solidarity.

Spirituality challenges every person of every faith tradition. It encourages dialogue between people of different cultures and faiths in order to foster a vision of human solidarity, development and the integrity of creation – a movement from dialogue to action for peace and justice. Through such dialogue and by telling the stories, we can build compassion and solidarity with and among people of different cultures that moves us to the necessary actions.
